Terms of Service

Welcome to CarEnthu. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CarEnthu mobile application ("the app", "the Service") operated by AppSyntax ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use CarEnthu. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Service.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account at support@carenthu.app.

You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You may not impersonate others or create accounts for deceptive purposes.

3. Acceptable Use & Zero-Tolerance Policy for Objectionable Content

CarEnthu has a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behavior. You agree not to post, upload, or transmit any content that:

• Is obscene, pornographic, lewd, or sexually explicit
• Contains hate speech, harassment, or bullying targeting individuals or groups
• Promotes violence, terrorism, or illegal activity
• Depicts graphic violence, gore, or animal cruelty
• Infringes on any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights
• Contains personal information of others (doxing, stalking)
• Is spam, misleading, or fraudulent
• Impersonates any person or entity
• Contains malware, viruses, or malicious code
• Is not a car photograph (CarEnthu is for car sightings only)

Consequences of Violations

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms and to suspend or permanently ban users who violate them. Violations may be reported to law enforcement where appropriate.

4. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of the sights (photos and metadata) you create and post. By posting content, you grant CarEnthu a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content within the Service for the purpose of operating the app.

You represent that you have the right to post any content you upload, including photos. If a sight contains identifiable people or private property, you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to photograph and share it.

License Plates

CarEnthu attempts to automatically blur license plates in uploaded photos to protect privacy. However, this is not guaranteed. You are responsible for ensuring your uploads do not violate others' privacy.

5. Reporting and Moderation

We provide in-app tools to report objectionable content and abusive users. We review reports within 24 hours and take action where appropriate, including content removal and user bans. You can also block other users at any time.

6. Intellectual Property

The CarEnthu app, its design, code, branding, and the car model database are the property of AppSyntax. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the app without our written permission.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from within the app (Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account). We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL APPSYNTAX BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AppSyntax from any claims arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any rights of another.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising out of these Terms will be resolved in the courts of New South Wales, Australia.
