What is CarEnthu?
CarEnthu is a car sighting collection app for iOS. You photograph cars you see in the wild, tag them with make and model, and build a personal collection organized by rarity. Think of it like a real-world trading card game for car enthusiasts.
Is it free?
Yes. CarEnthu is completely free with no ads and no in-app purchases. We don't sell your data or track you with third-party SDKs.
What counts as a sight?
Any car you see in the wild or at a car show/meet counts. We don't count photos from Google, dealership websites, or stock images — it's about cars you've actually seen yourself.
Do I need to know the exact model?
Nope. Pick from our database of 500+ models — you just need to know roughly what the car is. Most users get better at identifying cars the more they play.
What about privacy and license plates?
License plates in your uploaded photos are automatically detected and blurred using Apple's Vision framework. Location tagging is completely optional. You can also mark any individual sight as private so only you can see it.
What's the Carbex?
The Carbex is CarEnthu's completion tracker — think of it like a progress dashboard. It shows how many car models you've sighted out of 500+, broken down brand by brand. "You've caught 12 of 47 Porsches." Complete a brand to unlock special badges.
Can I report inappropriate content?
Yes. Every sight, comment, and user has a report button. You can also block any user to hide their content from your feeds entirely. We review all reports within 24 hours.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile → Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data including sights, comments, and profile. The action is irreversible.
Who built CarEnthu?
CarEnthu is built by Harrison White, a solo iOS developer operating as AppSyntax. It's a native iOS app built with SwiftUI and Supabase.
